I am an Associate Professor of Otorhinolaryngology at Acıbadem University School of Medicine in Istanbul, Turkey. I completed my medical degree and ENT residency at Ankara University and hold a master's degree in Audiology and Speech Disorders. A am a Fellow of the European Board of Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. My clinical interests include laryngology, voice and swallowing disorders, and HPV-related head and neck diseases.

Dr. Nupur Kapoor Nerurkar is an ENT surgeon, who has graduated in 1994 from KEM Hospital with a first rank in the Bombay University. Since 2004, she is practicing exclusively as a laryngologist and is currently heading the Bombay Hospital Voice & Swallowing Center. Dr. Nerurkar is DNB coordinator of the ENT department and director of the laryngology fellowship program. She is course director of the annual phonosurgery workshops being conducted since the past 18 years.

Nupur is a past president of the Association of Phonosurgeons of India (APSI) and currently on the governing council. She is the chief editor of the “Textbook of Laryngology” - official textbook of APSI and has authored “Atlas of Phonomicrosurgery” in 2017.

She has over 100 publications and book chapters to her credit and has delivered over 300 presentations including multiple prestigious orations and keynotes, such as at IFOS (Paris), LSA (Sydney) and Cutting-Edge Laryngology (London).

Dr. Nupur has been awarded multiple prizes at national AOI meetings such as the gold medal junior consultant award, first prize in S.L. Jaiswal video session, first prize at Phonocon 2006 and senior consultant award. She was awarded the David Howard prize in cutting edge laryngology 2012 and a Presidential citation by the ALA in 2024 in Chicago

Nupur is currently the only Indian fellow of the American Bronchoesophagological Association as well as the American Laryngological Association, founder and board member of the International Association of TransVoice Surgeons and executive committee member of International Association of Phonosurgery.

Nupur is focused in phonomicrosurgery, neurolaryngology, laser surgeries for early glottic cancer, care of the singing voice and transvoice surgeries.

I am; Prof. Dr. Selmin Karataylı Özgürsoy; graduated from Hacettepe University (Ankara, Türkiye) Faculty of Medicine, in 2002. I completed my residency training in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine and became an Otolaryngology specialist in 2008. I got ECFMG certification in 2007; I also hold both European and Turkish Board Certification in Otolaryngology.

My international academic and research experience includes observership at the House Ear Institute in Los Angeles in 2003, followed by a one-year research fellowship at Mayo Clinic, Florida, in 2008. In 2010, I worked as a research fellow at the University of Michigan, and in 2013, I completed a six-month TÜBİTAK-funded research fellowship at Johns Hopkins University in Maryland. In 2017, I returned to Mayo Clinic, Florida, as a Crawford Research Fellow for one year.

Throughout my career, I have participated in numerous advanced clinical courses, cadaveric dissection courses, and professional meetings both in Türkiye and internationally. In 2014, I presented my research entitled “Dysplasia in Recurrent Respiratory Papillomatosis” at the 10th European Laryngological Congress which lead to receive the prestigious Lichtenberger Award.

I was awarded with the title of Associate Professor in 2017, in Ufuk University, Ankara, and Professor in 2023, and still work in the same institution as vice dean.

I also completed a master’s degree in Audiology, Speech and Language Disorders, and Voice Disorders at Ankara University in 2021.

Dr Karen Kost is a Professor of Otolaryngology,  Director of the Voice and Dysphagia Laboratory and Fellowship program at McGill University. She is the past president of the Canadian Society of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (CSO-HNS) and Founder of the Women in Otolaryngology section of the CSO-HNS. She is also the past president of the American Society of Geriatric Otolaryngology. Dr Kost is the Current President of the American Laryngological Association, and was recently nominated to serve as Eastern Section VP of the Triological Society in 2028.

Dr Kost has authored over 100 publications in peer-reviewed journals,  30 book chapters, and has edited or co-edited 4 textbooks on Otolaryngology. She is the Associate editor of Laryngology for the Ear, Nose and Throat Journal, as well as for the ‘How I Do It’ section of the Laryngoscope. Dr Kost has given over 500 presentations around the world on voice, airway, and tracheostomy as a keynote speaker, ‘orator’, professor, invited lecturer and guest speaker.

As part of her interest in Global health, Dr Kost worked in the Canadian Arctic for over 20 years, performed the first surgical procedure under general anesthesia in Northern Quebec, and played an instrumental role in repatriating medical and surgical services to Nunavik in Northern Quebec. In addition, Dr. Kost participated in 2 humanitarian medical missions in remote villages of the Himalayas in Nepal accessible only by foot, with no running water and no electricity.

Dr Kost is the recipient of several awards, including: i) Birkett prize in Otolaryngology, ii) Recognition of Service and Commitment Award from the Canadian Society of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, iii) Distinction Award of Otolaryngology from the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, iv) McGill Otolaryngology Teacher of the Year Award twice, v) Helen B Krause Trailblazer Award from the Women in Otolaryngology section of the AAO-HNS, vi) Quebec Otolaryngology Association Award for Excellence and International Impact (2025), vii) Canadian Society of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Lifetime Achievement Award June 2025 viii) Irma Levasseur prize for Exceptional female physicians March 2026 from the Federation of Medical Specialists of Quebec.

Dr. Anca M. Barbu is an Associate Professor in Surgery in the Division of Otolaryngology—Head & Neck Surgery at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles, California. She is a fellowship trained laryngologist having completed her fellowship at Harvard Medical School with Dr. Steven Zeitels and Dr. James Burns. She is a post-graduate member of the American Laryngological Association (ALA), American Bronchoesophagological Association (ABEA), and President of the Los Angeles Society of Otolaryngology (LASO).
