I will present a personal series of cervical (primarily vagal and sympathetic trunk) schwannoma, managed surgically preserving the nerve of origin, with a step by step explanation of how to succussfully perform this surgery, and results.
Human papillomavirus (HPV) is increasingly recognized as a major etiological factor in oropharyngeal cancers and other head and neck pathologies, such as recurrent respiratory papillomatosis. Despite its growing clinical relevance, studies show significant knowledge gaps among otolaryngologists regarding HPV transmission, vaccination guidelines, and management protocols.
There has been significant progress in the understanding of the tumor genetics of advanced thyroid cancer, as well as numerous new efficacious targeted therapies. In this session, we will review genomic targets and targeted thearpies for differentiated thyroid cancer, medullary thyroid cancer, and anaplastic thyroid cancer. We will discuss the integration of targeted therapy with surgery for advanced thyroid cancer. We will outline current clinical trials and future directions.
