He was graduated from Marmara University Medical School/ Istanbul (education language - English) in 2001 getting the M.D. degree. He completed 5 years of residency training on Otorhinolaryngology and Head Neck Surgery at Ege University Medical Faculty. He worked as an observer and research fellow at John Hopkins University Medical Faculty (Baltimore,USA), Department of ORL-H&N Surgery Sinus Center under the mentorship of Prof. Andrew Lane in 2014 especially on rhinology and endoscopic skull base surgery. He has been working as faculty member at the University of Uludag / BURSA since 2010 and got associate professor degree in 2015 and finally professor title in 2022.

He was successfull at both written and oral examinations of European board of ORL-HNS in 2016 and became the fellow of European board of ORL-HNS (FEBORL-HNS). He has 15 years of experience in rhinology and  main areas of interest are endoscopic sinus surgery, endoscopic resection of paranasal tumors and skull base surgery. He previously attended to ERS meetings at Amsterdam (2014), London (2018), Thessaloniki (2021), Europen ORL-HNS Barcelona (2017) and AAO-HNSF New Orleans (2019) as guest speaker, course instructor or panelist. He had 30 articles published in SCI and SCI expanded journals related with ORL-HNS found at PUBMED.

His principal areas of interest include Obstructive sleep apnea, Sleep surgery, Rhinology and Skull Base Surgery.

Dr Sandeep is the current President of Indian Association of Surgeons for Sleep Apnea (IASSA).

He has received advanced training in sleep medicine and sleep surgery at Mayo Clinic, Rochester (USA), Singapore General Hospital, and Technical University Munich, Germany.

He works extensively on Optic nerve Fenestration for Idiopathic intracranial hypertension and CVT and traumtic optic neuropathy.

Dr. Bansal is member of the International Sleep Surgery Society, and Editor-in-Chief of the Annals of Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery, the official journal of Indian Academy of Otolaryngology and Head Neck Surgery.

He is a regular invited faculty member at national and international scientific meetings and has conducted numerous workshops and live surgical demonstrations in sleep surgery.

He has authored more than 80 peer-reviewed indexed publications, serves as a reviewer for several international journals, and has received multiple academic awards, including the P. Chatterjee Gold Medal and the SBS Mann Gold Medal.
