Dr. Sandeep Bansal, MS (ENT), FAMS, FIMSA,
Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery at PGIMER, Chandigarh, India, where he serves as Incharge of the Sleep Laboratory and Additional Medical Superintendent (NHE).
His principal areas of interest include Obstructive sleep apnea, Sleep surgery, Rhinology and Skull Base Surgery.
Dr Sandeep is the current President of Indian Association of Surgeons for Sleep Apnea (IASSA).
He has received advanced training in sleep medicine and sleep surgery at Mayo Clinic, Rochester (USA), Singapore General Hospital, and Technical University Munich, Germany.
He works extensively on Optic nerve Fenestration for Idiopathic intracranial hypertension and CVT and traumtic optic neuropathy.
Dr. Bansal is member of the International Sleep Surgery Society, and Editor-in-Chief of the Annals of Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery, the official journal of Indian Academy of Otolaryngology and Head Neck Surgery.
He is a regular invited faculty member at national and international scientific meetings and has conducted numerous workshops and live surgical demonstrations in sleep surgery.
He has authored more than 80 peer-reviewed indexed publications, serves as a reviewer for several international journals, and has received multiple academic awards, including the P. Chatterjee Gold Medal and the SBS Mann Gold Medal.
