Current positions of Prof Milan Stankovic are: Full time Professor of Otolaryngology, Head of  Otolaryngology at Medical Faculty University of Nis Serbia, Instuctor of European Academy of Otology and Otoneurology, Ambassador to American Academy of  Otolaryngology, Visiting Professor at Ahepa University Hospital Thessaloniki, Greece, International Elector at University in Athens, Thessaloniki, Larisa, Iraklion (Greece), Honorary Member of Italian Rhinologic Society, Honorary Member of ENT Society of Northern Greece, Contributor to Encyclopedia of ORL ( Springer, New York), Editor in World Articles of Otolaryngology, Member of Editorial Board for International Advanced Otology, Balkan Jounal of Medicine, Journal of Hearing Science, etc.

He was: President of Balkan Society of Otolaryngology, Board Member of Balkan ORL Society, Vice President of Serbian ORL Society, and Regional Secretary  of  European Academy of Otology and Otoneurology.

He published chapters in Books (Encyclopedia of ORL, Atlas of Operative Otolaryngology, Handbook of Pharyngeal Diseases), and papers in: Am J Otolaryngol, Eur Arch ORL, Otol Neurotol, ORL Karger, Acta Byophys Biochem, Pro Otology, International Advanced Otology, etc.

During international Congresses he was frequently  Chairperson  and Round table speaker at many Congresses, also Invited speaker at International Congresses , and as Instructor of European Academy of Otology.

Postgraduate education of Prof Stankovic included: ENT Clinics in Geneva, Zurich, Basel (1989 to 1990), Cornel University Saltzburg ENT Seminar (1997), ENT Clinic University Hospital Vienna (2000), ENT Clinics in Tokio and Osaka, Japan (2004),  ENT Clinic Charite Berlin, Germany (2006).

Eleonora Trecca, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Otolaryngology (MEDS-18/A) at the University of Foggia, Italy. She earned her PhD in Translational Medicine from the same university and has gained extensive international experience in the United States, United Kingdom, Portugal, Denmark, Germany, and Malta. From 2020 to 2025, Dr. Trecca worked as an Otolaryngologist at IRCCS Research Hospital Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza, one of the leading hospitals in Southern Italy. During this period, she refined her clinical and surgical expertise in otology, neurotology, and auditory implants, and actively contributed to research, education, and multidisciplinary collaboration in the field. Her most recent international appointment was as a Research Scholar Programme in Otology, Neurotology, and Cranial Base Surgery at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Nationwide Children’s Hospital (USA).

 

Dr. Trecca conducts clinical and translational research across various domains of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, and has received numerous awards, scholarships, and invitations to national and international conferences in recognition of her scientific contributions. Her main areas of interest include:

 

• Smell and taste disorders

• Otology, Neurotology, and Auditory Implants

• Pediatric Otolaryngology

• E-Health and Artificial Intelligence

 

She has been honored with multiple distinctions, including the American Rhinologic Society (ARS) Fall Poster Award and CRS Scholarship (2018), Best Scientific Contribution in Audiology and Otology at the Academy AUORL Meeting (2019), the AUORL Award for Best Dissertation in Otolaryngology and Italian Society of Audiology (SIAF) Scholarship (2021), and the European Rhinologic Society (ERS) Fellowship (2024).

 

Dr. Trecca currently serves as Secretary of the Scientific Committee of the Italian Society of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery (SIOeChCF) and as National Coordinator of the Young Otolaryngologists Group (GOS). Internationally, she is also the Chair of the Congress Committee of the Young Otolaryngologists of IFOS (Yo-IFOS).
