Advancements and Unique Considerations in Southeast Asian Rhinoplasty

<p>This presensation will explore the distinctive anatomical features, cultural considerations and comtemporary surgical techniques relevant to rhinoplasty in Southeast Asian populations. This session aims to address the challenges and opportunities faced by surgeons working within this demographic, highlighting innovative methods to achieve natural and harmonious results while respecting cultural aesthetics.</p> <p>The presensation will include :</p> <p>1. Review of anatomical differences based on recent studies and clinical experience.<br>2. Demonstration of surgical techniques via case exmaples and intraoperative images and videos<br>3. Discussino of preoperative planning, patient consultation and post operative management<br>4. Engagement with audience through Q&A and interactive discussion .</p>

<p>Participatns will gain improved understanding of Southeast Asian nasal anatomy, learn tailored surgical techniques and enhance their ability to achieve natural, culturally respectful results in rhinoplasty procedures for this population .</p>

<p>Dr Habiba is certified by the Oman Medical Speciality Board, the Arab Board, and the European Board of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery.</p> <p>She did her fellowship in facial plastic and reconstruction surgery with Professor Young Ju Jang in South Korea. She is currently a consultant in facial plastic surgery at Al Nahdah Hospital, Oman. She is a member of the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery, European Rhinoplasty Society, Pan Asia Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery( member of the board of directors nation chapters), Oman Otolaryngology Society(member of the board of directors treasurer ), and the Oman medical speciality board.</p>

<p>Dr. James Kok is dual European and Malaysian board-certified Otorhinolaryngologist- Head and Neck Surgeon in private practice. He completed his specialist training at the University of Malaya and undertook advance rhinoplasty training in Turkiye, Korea and in the Philipines. His clinical practice focuses on functional and aesthetic rhinoplasty, with particular ephasis on Asian rhinoplasty, structural nasal techniques, and preservation of nasal functional, and preservation of ethnic nasal characteristics.</p>
