SHORT CV

 

     Fevzi Sefa DEREKÖY, (MD) (MS of History), Professor of Otolaryngology was born in 1963. He completed his primary and secondary school education in Ankara and İstanbul. In 1987, he graduated from  Ankara Gülhane School of Medicine. In 1993, after education at Gülhane School of Medicine in Ankara, he became a Specialist of ENT Diseases. After some public hospital works, in 1999 he  was appointed as a founder member and assistant professor of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Department of Afyon Kocatepe University. During that period  he served as Vice Dean of Medicine Faculty and Director of Health Science Institute.   He became Associate Professor in 2002 and then in 2008  he was appointed to the founder professor of Otolaryngology Department at Schhol of Medicine of Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University.  He founded the Otolaryngology Department of the Faculty.  At the same time he has been founder chief physician of the Education and Research Hospital of Medicine School.  He served as the Chairman of ENT Department, Chairman of Surgical Science Section, Director of Health School and eventually as  the Dean of the Faculty. Since August of 2019, he has been an academic person at İstanbul Medipol University International School of Medicine. He served as the Chief of  Afyon Kocatepe Academician Society, as the chief of Afyon TED School Family Society, as the chief of Trakya Otolaryngology  Head and Neck Surgery Society, and as the Secretary of Afyon Rotary Club. He is a member of the Confederation of ORL-HNS. He is an International Member of American Otolaryngology Academy.  He ha been a member of Ethical Commitee of Turkish Otolaryngology Society.  He has Master Science Degree of History. His historical interest is Medieval Period and  History of Science.
