He graduated from Tirunelveli Medical College, Tirunelveli in 2000 and obtained his DLO from Madurai Medical College, Madurai in 2004. He qualified the Diplomate of National Board Exams from National Board of Examinations, New Delhi in 2007. He is a Consultant ENT surgeon at Madras ENT Research Foundation and a teaching faculty in MERF & MERF Institute of Speech and Hearing.
His interest is in the field of Implantation Otology, Sleep Disorders and Obstructive Sleep Apnoea and he heads this department. He is a member of the World Sleep Society. He has organized Many Live Surgical Workshop on Obstructive Sleep Apnoea. As a Joint Secretary, he has conducted the 63rd Annual National Conference of Otolaryngologists of India AOICON2011 at Chennai. He has conducted the First National Conference on Snoring and Sleep Disorders IASSACON2013 at Chennai and First National Conference of Indian Academy of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery (IAOHNS2014).
He has had special training in Sleep-Related Breathing Disorders, at Euro Sleep Clinic, Bergen, Norway. He has presented many papers in the International World Sleep Congress.
He has conducted Instructional courses on Sleep Apnoea in International Federation of Otorhinolaryngology IFOS2013, Korea and also in the 5th International World Sleep Congress at Valencia, Spain. He has been invited as an Instructor for the Hands-on Training and Cadaver Dissection course for OSA at Singapore General Hospital, Singapore. He has been invited as a Faculty to participate in Panel Discussions and to deliver Guest Lectures in various National and International conferences.
He is the only Indian as the International Scientific Committee member in World Congress on Sleep Medicine and is the Founder Secretary of Indian Association of Surgeons for Sleep Apnoea (IASSA), Indian Academy of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery (IAOHNS), Indian Society for Facial Trauma, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery of Otorhinolaryngologists (ISFARO).
He is the reviewer of various International journals like International Journal of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology and is an Editorial Board member of Austin's International Journal of Sleep Disorders.

Professor Jaydip Ray is the Professor of Otology & Neurotology at University of Sheffield and Professor of ENT at Sheffield Hallam University and was Clinical Director (ENT). His main clinical and research interests include Complex Hearing loss, Auditory Implants and Innovative Balance Management.
He is the Specialty Lead for ENT (Y&H) for the National Institute for Health Research and has wide experience in training, research and innovation. He lectures widely and has been the chief investigator on several large international multicentre research projects (both commercial and non-commercial trials). He has also served as a member of Specialist Advisory Committee of Royal College of Surgeons, the Otology Council of Royal Society of Medicine at the Court of Examiners for the Intercollegiate Specialty Examinations.
Jiří Skřivan, M.D., PhD. was born in the year 1958. He graduated in the Faculty of General Medicine of the Charles University in Prague in 1984. In the same year he became a resident and later a junior assistant in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery of the 1st Medical Faculty, Charles University in Prague. In the years 1987 and 1991 respectively he has gained a specialization degree on otorhinolaryngology of the 1st and 2nd grade. In the year 2001 he successfully defended a dissertation thesis entitled Predictive factors in Cochlear Implant Candidates. In the Department, he held a position of the Department Head Deputy for the research and science. In the year 2014, he has become a head of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology of the 2nd Medical Faculty, Charles University in Prague.
His pedagogic activities span from the 1st and 2nd Medical Faculties of the Charles University. He teaches medical and postgradual students as well. He is active as a lector on many surgical courses abroad. He is a member of the Czech Board for Otorhinolaryngology.
His interests lay especially in otosurgery, otology, skull base surgery and surgical treatment of hearing disorders, both in children and adults.
He has presented a number of scientific papers, published several monographies and about one hundred of scientific articles.
Professor Backous (Drbackous.com) is a board-certified Neurotologist who practices in Puyallup, Washington. He graduated the University of Washington School of Medicine, did his internship and residency at Baylor College of Medicine and went on to complete a research followed by a clinical fellowship in Neurotology at Johns Hopkins University. His professional mission is ensuring access to care for patients with ear disease and hearing loss. He is an inaugural member of the Healthy Hearing Ears Initiative committed to creating standards of care for treating hearing loss in people with chronic otitis media. Prof. Backous hosts the Northwest Otology Fellowship and runs the largest implantable hearing device program in the Pacific Northwest. His passion is working to protect the richness of otolaryngology practice with doctors being able to choose their practice environment to optimally serve their patients with enjoyment and resilience. He is Past-President the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. His interests include flyfishing, water and Nordic skiing, golf, church activities, spending time with his wife and family and hiking.
