Working for 25 years in the ENT head and neck surgery in Bucharest, at Coltea Clinical Hospital and Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy. Special interest in rhinology and head and neck oncology.

Pavol Surda is a Consultant ENT and Rhinology Surgeon and the Clinical Lead for ENT at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, London. His clinical practice covers the full spectrum of nasal and sinus disease, with particular expertise in endoscopic sinus surgery, skull base surgery, and the management of sinonasal tumours.

He completed specialist fellowships in rhinology and facial plastics at St George’s University Hospital in London and anterior skull base surgery at the Academic Medical Centre in Amsterdam. He also holds a PhD from the University of Amsterdam, with award-winning research focused on “rhinitis in athletes”.

Pavol has a strong academic portfolio, having published over 80 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he was among the first to describe anosmia as a presenting symptom and contributed to national tracheostomy service guidelines. His current interests include innovation in minimally invasive rhinology, use of technology in surgical planning, and robotic approaches to the skull base.

He is deeply involved in education and research, regularly teaching on international courses and contributing to national and European guidelines. He co-authored the Scott-Brown Essentials in Rhinology and is part of the SurgTech team, creating high-quality surgical training content.

Pavol is a member of the Executive Board of the European Rhinologic Society, Chair of the Young European ENT Confederation, and Honorary Secretary of the Laryngology & Rhinology Section at the Royal Society of Medicine.

A former elite triathlete, he brings the same discipline and pursuit of excellence to his clinical and academic work.

Michael G. Stewart, MD, MPH is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. He also serves as Senior Associate Dean for International Affairs and Affiliations for the Medical College and in the past he also served as Senior Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs. He received a B.E. degree summa cum laude from Vanderbilt University, and an M.D. from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He completed residency training at Baylor College of Medicine in the Houston, Texas, and received his M.P.H. degree from the University of Texas School of Public Health, Houston.  He is the author of 2 textbooks, and more than 30 book chapters and 150 peer-reviewed publications. He is the former Editor-in-Chief of The Laryngoscope journal (2011-19) and is a former Director and the Past-President of the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery and past Executive Vice President of the American Rhinologic Society. He is President-Elect of the American Laryngological, Rhinological and Otological (aka the Triological) Society.  He has received three Distinguished Service Awards from the American Academy of Oto-HNS, and Presidential and Vice Presidential Citations from four different national societies.  He has been a visiting professor at more than 40 institutions, and has given more than 500 invited lectures, both nationally and internationally.

Professor Metin Yılmaz, MD, is a Professor of Otorhinolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine. He received his medical degree from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1994 and completed his residency training in otorhinolaryngology at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in 1999. Following his residency, he served as a founding faculty member in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University before continuing his academic career at Gazi University. Promoted to professor in 2014, Professor Yılmaz currently serves as Chair of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Gazi University.

His principal clinical interests are rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty. His other clinical and academic interests include sleep-disordered breathing and upper airway surgery, swallowing and voice disorders, robotic surgery, head and neck oncology, skull-base surgery, and vestibular disorders.

Professor Yılmaz is actively involved in medical and postgraduate education. With an extensive scientific publication record, he continues to contribute to his field through invited lectures, professional courses, and thesis supervision. His ongoing work focuses on clinical research, surgical education, and multidisciplinary patient care.

Born on August 31, 1966. Graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1989. He was trained otolaryngology specialization between 1989-1993 in Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine Department of Otolaryngology. He has worked in Ankara Başkent University Faculty of Medicine Department of Otolaryngology as Assistant Professor between 1995-1999. In He was granted the title of Associate Professor in November 2000 and was granted the title of Professor of Otolaryngology in March 2017.

His special fields of interest are; Aesthetic and functional nasal surgery, aesthetic surgery of the face, endoscopic sinus surgery, sinus surgeries performed with balloon (balloon sinuplasty), computer assisted sinus surgery – surgical navigation, treatment of snoring and sleep apnea and reconstructive surgery of head and neck (repairing tissue and function losses).
