Mastering cholesteatoma surgery: Tips & tricks
09-11, 14:00– (Europe/Istanbul), Otology 2

The word "Cholesteatoma"  was Defined in 2016 by the European Academy of Otology and Neurotology / Japan Otology Society joint consensus at the 10th International Conference on Cholesteatoma and Ear Surgery (Edinburgh, Scotland) as a mass formed by a keratinized stratified epithelium (matrix), connective epithelial tissue (perimatricial) and the accumulation of keratin debris in the mesotympanum  and/or mastoid with or without an associated inflammatory reaction.

If we all agree that its etiopathogenesis still remains mysterious, Its treatment, exclusively surgical

In this panel we will try to discuss the obliteration technique of the mastoid and epitympanum in middle ear cholesteatoma surgery.
