This study focuses on the challenges and strategies of rhinoplasty in patients with thick nasal skin. Emphasis is placed on optimizing tip definition, managing edema, and achieving refined contour through structural and surface-level approaches. The research aims to evaluate surgical techniques, postoperative management, and outcomes specific to this unique patient group.
Dr. Burak Erdur is a board-certified otorhinolaryngologist with a subspecialty focus on rhinoplasty. He graduated from Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty in 2014. Subsequently, he completed his residency training in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty in 2019.
During his residency, he undertook an observership at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in the United States and obtained his specialist certification in 2019.
In 2022, he successfully passed both the written and oral components of the European Board of Otorhinolaryngology examination held in Vienna and was awarded the title of Fellow of the European Board of Otorhinolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery (FEBORL-HNS). In the same year, he was also granted the Turkish Board certification in Otorhinolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery.
