<p>Dr. Rehab Awad has been leading the voice services for both adults and children in the Speech and Language Therapy Department and providing voice therapy input in the Multidisciplinary voice clinic, being the main therapist providing pre- & post-operative voice rehabilitation for patients who undergo phonosurgery. She has also been leading the Parallel Voice Clinic at UHL since 2011. She is a Professor of Phoniatrics Sciences at Kasr Alaini Hospital, Cairo University since 2025.</p>
<p>Rehab has a long experience in managing voice disorders in both adults and children, providing a holistic approach to improving voice quality and ensuring the multidisciplinary approach to addressing voice problems. She has special interest working with professional voice users (singers, actors, performers) with special interest in using treatment naso-endoscopy. As the Clinical Lead Voice Therapist at University Hospital Lewisham, she is involved in developing departmental policies and competencies frameworks for developing therapists’ skills in managing voice disorders.</p>
<p>She is the most senior FEES therapist and clinical governor for FEES services at LGT, has helped developing FEES services across three sites as well as developing inhouse-training for the SLT team.</p>
<p>She has been a council member of the British Voice Association since 2022 and a member of the British Voice Association Education Working Party since 2018.</p>
<p>She has participated in developing and updating various position papers for the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.</p>
<p>She has special interest in research and has published a few research articles and book chapters in national and international journals and has been a speaker in many national and international conferences.</p>

<p>Prof. Mario Milkov, MD, PhD graduated from Medical University “Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stojanov” – Varna in 1995.</p>
<p>Since 2002, he has been a specialist in Otorhinolaryngology, Surgery of the Head and Neck. In 2005, he successfully defended his doctoral thesis related to modern ossicular prostheses.</p>
<p>Main professional and scientific interests in the field of otology, neurotology, audio-vestibular medicine, biomaterials, sleep medicine, hearing prevention in newborns and early childhood. He holds a patent for the first Bulgarian ossicular prosthesis.</p>
<p>He is the creator of the bulgarian society of “obstructive sleep apnea and snoring” in 2012. He proposes and creates together with colleagues from the Black Sea countries the “International Black Sea Otological and Neurootological Association“ in 2017.</p>
<p>Prof. Mario Milkov is the Head of the Department “Dental materials science and prosthetic dental medicine” in Faculty of Dental medicine, Medical University – Varna.</p>
<p>Since March 2024 is appointed as Vice-Rector for “International relations”, Medical University – Varna.</p>
<p>He works at the “Audio-vestibular and sleep medicine” sector, University Medical and Dental Center.</p>
<p>Prof. Milkov is the Chairperson of the “Alumni club and Friends” – Medical University – Varna.</p>
<p>A corresponding academic member of national and international associations.</p>
<p>Has more than 180 scientific publications. Participated in over 190 world and national congresses, symposiums, specialized courses.</p>
<p>He has been the editor-in-chief of the journal „International Bulletin of Otorhinolaryngology“ since 2004. A member of the editorial board of five international medical journals in and other Bulgarian medical journals.</p>
