Dr. Z. Çiler Büyükatalay Yaldız was born in 1977 and graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 2001. She completed her residency in Otorhinolaryngology at the same institution between 2002 and 2007. In 2015, she earned a Master’s degree in Audiology and Speech Disorders from Hacettepe University, Department of Audiology and Speech Disorders.
She received the Turkish Board Certification in Otorhinolaryngology in 2011 and the European Board Certification in 2019. In 2006, Dr. Büyükatalay Yaldız participated as an observership fellow under Dr. Robert Thayer Sataloff at the Philadelphia Ear, Nose and Throat Associates Voice Center for one month. In 2017, she spent three months as an observer under Dr. Albert Merati at the University of Washington Medical Center, conducting clinical observations and research.
She was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor in 2020. In addition to her ongoing academic teaching duties at her current institution, she is an active member of several national and international professional societies.
Dr. Büyükatalay Yaldız’s clinical and research interests include laryngology, pediatric and adult airway disorders, otology, as well as salivary gland diseases and sialendoscopy.

Dr. Rehab Awad has been leading the voice services for both adults and children in the Speech and Language Therapy Department and providing voice therapy input in the Multidisciplinary voice clinic, being the main therapist providing pre- & post-operative voice rehabilitation for patients who undergo phonosurgery. She has also been leading the Parallel Voice Clinic at UHL since 2011. She is a Professor of Phoniatrics Sciences at Kasr Alaini Hospital, Cairo University since 2025.
Rehab has a long experience in managing voice disorders in both adults and children, providing a holistic approach to improving voice quality and ensuring the multidisciplinary approach to addressing voice problems. She has special interest working with professional voice users (singers, actors, performers) with special interest in using treatment naso-endoscopy. As the Clinical Lead Voice Therapist at University Hospital Lewisham, she is involved in developing departmental policies and competencies frameworks for developing therapists’ skills in managing voice disorders.
She is the most senior FEES therapist and clinical governor for FEES services at LGT, has helped developing FEES services across three sites as well as developing inhouse-training for the SLT team.
She has been a council member of the British Voice Association since 2022 and a member of the British Voice Association Education Working Party since 2018.
She has participated in developing and updating various position papers for the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
She has special interest in research and has published a few research articles and book chapters in national and international journals and has been a speaker in many national and international conferences.

Dr. Baiba Trinīte is a Professor of Speech and Language Therapy at Riga Technical University, Liepaja Academy, and Head of the Voice and Speech Research Laboratory. She is a leading researcher in the field of voice disorders, combining extensive academic, clinical, and research experience.
Her research and academic interests focus on voice disorders and voice ergonomics, as well as acquired language, speech and swallowing disorders. She is actively involved in national and international research collaborations and contributes to the advancement of speech and language therapy through scientific publications and professional education.
Dr. Trinite has held several key leadreship positions in the profession, including long-term Chair of the Speech and Language Therapists’ Association of Latvia, and currently serves as a board member. She is also a founder and board member of the Voice Care Society of Latvia.
At the European level, Dr. Trinite served for six years as Vice President of the European Speech and Language Therapists Asooociation (formerly CPLOL), contributing to the development of the profession and strengthening international collaboration across Europe.
