Dr. Z. Çiler Büyükatalay Yaldız was born in 1977 and graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 2001. She completed her residency in Otorhinolaryngology at the same institution between 2002 and 2007. In 2015, she earned a Master’s degree in Audiology and Speech Disorders from Hacettepe University, Department of Audiology and Speech Disorders.

She received the Turkish Board Certification in Otorhinolaryngology in 2011 and the European Board Certification in 2019. In 2006, Dr. Büyükatalay Yaldız participated as an observership fellow under Dr. Robert Thayer Sataloff at the Philadelphia Ear, Nose and Throat Associates Voice Center for one month. In 2017, she spent three months as an observer under Dr. Albert Merati at the University of Washington Medical Center, conducting clinical observations and research.

She was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor in 2020. In addition to her ongoing academic teaching duties at her current institution, she is an active member of several national and international professional societies.

Dr. Büyükatalay Yaldız’s clinical and research interests include laryngology, pediatric and adult airway disorders, otology, as well as salivary gland diseases and sialendoscopy.

Born in 1976. He graduated from the 1st Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in 2003 and joined the Department of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck of the 1st Faculty of Medicine and University Hospital in Motol under the supervision of Prof. Betka. Since 2017, he has been the Deputy Head for Science and Research under the leadership of Prof. Jan Plzak, Ph.D. During his postgraduate studies and habilitation he focused on the differences of the immune system in patients with head and neck tumours depending on the aetiology. He is a professor of ENT with focus mainly on otology, surgical treatment of hearing loss, cochlear implantation and skull base surgery. He is a director of Cochlear implant center for adults in UHM. He has completed a number of international fellowships (USA, Holland, Germany, Italy, UK), is the principal investigator of several grant projects, author of 40 publications with IF, H-index 15.
