Reconstruction of the oral cavity defects is challenging because of complex anatomy and function of this region. Reconstruction of these defects with pedicled and local flaps can be presented with cases and outcomes.
This session will give insight and management options to the audience to better rehabilitate head and neck cancer patients.

Dr. Cömert Şen is a faculty member in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine.
He completed his medical education in 2011 and his residency training in 2018 at the same institution. Since joining the faculty in 2019, Dr. Şen's clinical practice has focused on head and neck surgical oncology and reconstruction, with particular expertise in microvascular free flap procedures.
He has authored numerous articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals and contributed to several medical textbooks. He also serves as an editorial board member and peer reviewer for scientific journals.
Dr. Şen presents regularly at national and international congresses and has served as faculty in instructional courses on head and neck surgery and reconstruction.
