<p>He graduated from Seoul National University College of Medicine.</p> <p>He is in charge of Dizziness Center of Seoul National University Bundang Hospital as a director.</p> <p>He has been served as the president of Korean Otological Society and the president of Korean Balance Society. Currently, he is the chairman of board of directors of Korean society of ORL-HNS.</p> <p>He is preparing for 2026 Politzer society meeting in Seoul, Korea as a congress president.</p>

Plontke is professor and chairman at the University ORL-HNS department in Halle, Germany and member of the Presidential Council of the European Confederation of Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (CEORL-HNS) and conference president of the CEORL-HNS congress 2028 in Berlin, Germany. He is member of the Collegium ORLAS, member of the board of directors of the Prosper Menière Society, and member of several editorial boards. <p>Dr. Eugen Constant Ionescu is an otoneurologist at Hospices Civils de Lyon (Hôpital Édouard Herriot, Lyon, France), where he serves as Deputy Head of the Department of Audiology and Otoneurology and Coordinator of the Adult and Pediatric Vestibular Disorders Unit.</p> <p>After graduating from medical school in Romania, he completed specialist training in Otorhinolaryngology, complemented by advanced training in neurosurgery and skull base pathology in Romania and France. During his academic training in Lyon, he also served as a teaching assistant in neuroanatomy at Claude Bernard University Lyon 1. This multidisciplinary background naturally led to his long-standing clinical and scientific interest in neuro-otology, vestibular disorders, and inner ear diseases.</p> <p>Dr. Ionescu is an Associate Researcher at Institut de l’Audition – Institut Pasteur and a Board Member of the International Society of Otoneurology (SIO).</p> <p>He has authored or co-authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and international presentations. His principal research interests include third-window inner ear disorders and related anomalies, vestibular diagnostics, advanced inner ear imaging, and innovative therapeutic approaches in neuro-otology. He is the author of the chapter "Classification of Third Mobile Window Anomalies" in the Springer reference book Third Mobile Window Syndrome of the Inner Ear and has also contributed to the international reference textbook Balance Disorders in Children.</p>
