Professor, senior consultant at the University hospital of Lund Sweden. Main researchwork is in infectious diseases, especially AOM, complications, diagnostics and treatment strategies. Clinically operating anterior skull base, facial trauma and pediatic ENT.
I was born in 1970. in Novi Sad, Serbia, where I finished Faculty of medicine, University of Novi Sad in 1994. I became a specialist, an otorhinolaryngologist, in 2003.
I became the Master of Science (MSc) in 2007, and got a PhD degree in 2013, also at Faculty of medicine, University of Novi Sad.
I am working for 23 years, since 2003, at Rhinology Department of Clinic for otorhinolaryngology and head and neck surgery, University Clinical Centre of Vojvodina, Novi Sad, Serbia. All the time, at my Rhinology Department, I work almost exclusively as a rhinosinusologist.
Since 2004. I am working at the Faculty of medicine, University of Novi Sad, becoming an Associate professor in 2019, which I still am.
I am a member of European Rhinologic Society since 2004, where I was an Advisory Board member for Serbia.
Dr. Yvonne Chan is a Professor, Vice-Chair of Education, and Director of Continuing Professional Development in the Department of Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Toronto, and serves as Otolaryngologist-in-Chief at St. Michael’s Hospital. She completed advanced fellowship training in rhinology and anterior skull base surgery in both the United States and Australia.
Since 2015, Dr. Chan has served as co-editor of the internationally recognized textbook K. J. Lee’s Essential Otolaryngology, now in its 13th edition. She has also co-edited several other authoritative texts, including Essential Rhinology and Allergy (Volumes 1 and 2) and Rhinology and Allergy: A Clinical Reference Guide.
Dr. Firas Kassem, MD Chair, Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery, Meir Medical Center, Israel
Dr. Firas Kassem is Chair of the Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at Meir Medical Center, Israel, and Head of the Nasal and Sinus Surgery Unit. His clinical and research interests focus on chronic rhinosinusitis, biologic therapies for inflammatory sinonasal disease, and odontogenic sinusitis.
He served as President of the Israeli Rhinologic Society (2019–2022) and currently serves on the Advisory Board of the European Rhinologic Society. He is a Senior Lecturer at the Gray Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Tel Aviv University.
