<p>Dr Marc Remacle is an Emeritus Academic Professor of the faculty of Medecine at the University of Louvain, Belgium. He is consultant in the department of ORL and Head & Neck surgery of CHL, Luxembourg.</p> <p>Dr Remacle chaired the joint commission of the Free University of Brussels and the Catholic University of Louvain for the master’s degree in Logopedics. His interest in Laser surgery led him to contribute to the development of dedicated devices as the micromanipulator and microinstruments. He initiated the new scanner and the new robotic micromanipulator for laser- assisted incision and dissection. He contributed to the development of the Co2 laser wave-guide.</p> <p>Together with his colleague Prof Georges Lawson , they have initiated the TORS in Belgium</p> <p>He presented numerous communications and published papers mainly on laser-assisted microsurgery and microphonosurgery.</p> <p>He is an expert in voice feminization, practicing the Wendler glottoplasty for more than 20 years</p> <p>He regularly takes part in International courses and conferences on laser microsurgery. <p>He was born 27 December 1967 in Afyonkarahisar. He graduated from Eskişehir Anatolian High School in 1985 and from Hacettepe University School of Medicine in 1991. He had his Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery residency training in Bursa Uludag University School of Medicine Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery between 1992 and 1996. He worked in the same department from 1996 until February 2022 as a full time professor. He retired from the department in February 2022 and currently working in his private clinic.</p> <p>He has been in USA between August and October 2002, as a Visiting Professor in University of Pittsburgh, Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, with special interest in Voice Disorders, Swallowing disorders and head and neck cancer surgery.</p> <p>He is a member and past president of Turkish Voice, Speech and Swallowing Disorders Society, a member and past president of Bursa ENT-HNS Specialists Society, a member of Advisory Board of Turkish Otolaryngology Head and Neck Society, a member of Founders Board of Turkish Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Foundation, a member of International Head and Neck Scientific Group.</p> <p>His special expertise and research interests are diagnosis and treatment of voice disorders, airway disorders, swallowing disorders, head and neck cancer including thyroid.</p>
