He graduated from the Medical Faculty of Aegean University in 1989 and completed his residency in Otolaryngology at İzmir Atatürk Education and Research Hospital in 1994. Following this, he spent a year as a research fellow in the Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Pittsburgh. In 1997, he received his first academic appointment at Pamukkale University. He is affiliated with several professional organizations, including the Turkish Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery Association, the European Academy of Otology and Neurotology, the Neurotological and Equilibriometric Society, and the Mediterranean Society of Otology and Audiology. He has authored numerous articles, book chapters, and books in both Turkish and English, primarily focused on Otology and Neurotology. In recent years, his research has centered on hearing reconstruction, implants, endoscopic ear surgery, vestibular disorders, and vestibular rehabilitation.

Dr. Mehmet Murat Günay is an ENT specialist at Ankara Etlik City Hospital, with a focus on otologic and reconstructive ear surgery. He completed his residency at the University of Health Sciences, Dışkapı Yıldırım Beyazıt ENT Clinic. With over 10 years of clinical experience, he has published extensively in international journals and presented at numerous national and international congresses. He is also an instructor in cadaver dissection courses and holds certifications in sleep medicine and otology-neurotology. His current clinical research focuses on improving surgical outcomes in otoplasty and cochlear implantation.

Prof. Dragoslava Djerić is a senior academic otologist and otosurgeon with extensive experience in ear pathology, otologic surgery, and hearing disorders. She obtained her M.D., Master’s degree, and Ph.D. from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade, where she completed her residency in Otorhinolaryngology. Her international training includes research fellowships at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary (Harvard Medical School) and the Minnesota Ear Clinic, as well as a visiting professorship at the University Hospital Bern, Switzerland.

Throughout her academic career, she has progressed from Assistant Professor to Full Professor at the University of Belgrade. Clinically, she served as Head of the Pediatric Department and later founded and led the Department of Otology at the University Clinic for Otorhinolaryngology in Belgrade, contributing significantly to the modernization of diagnostic and surgical approaches in ear diseases.

Her research focuses on otology, otopathology, cholesteatoma, chronic otitis, hearing loss, and ear microsurgery. She has been involved in pioneering work on temporal bone pathology, multidisciplinary diagnostic strategies, neonatal hearing screening, and modern reconstructive tympanoplasty techniques. She participated in international research collaborations in the USA, Switzerland, and Europe, including projects on otitis media, hearing impairment, and implantable hearing devices.

Prof. Djerić has supervised numerous diploma theses, master’s theses, and doctoral dissertations, and has held key academic leadership roles, including membership in scientific councils, postgraduate teaching committees, and national expert commissions in Serbia. She has been an active educator and instructor in temporal bone dissection, otomicrosurgery, and endoscopic techniques.

She has authored or co-authored over 400 scientific publications, including more than 200 full-length journal articles, and several books and monographs on otology and ear diseases. Her work has been cited in major otologic textbooks and international literature. She serves on editorial boards and as a reviewer for multiple national and international journals.

Prof. Djerić is a member of numerous professional societies, including the International Otopathology Society (Schuknecht Society), European Academy of Otology and Neurotology (EAONO), American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, International Hearing Foundation, and the Politzer Society. She has received multiple national and international awards, including a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Serbian Medical Association.
