Dr. Tobias Todsen is a Consultant and Associate Professor in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery & Audiology at Rigshospitalet. His research focuses on ultrasound and minimally invasive treatments, artificial intelligence, and head and neck cancer. He has authored over 70 peer-reviewed publications, received more than 1,000 citations, and holds an H-index of 15 (Scopus). He has secured over €3.5 million in competitive research funding and led several multicenter randomized clinical trials involving more than 25,000 participants.

As a recognized expert in head and neck ultrasound, Dr. Todsen leads the Surgical Ultrasound Research Group in Copenhagen (SURGiC). He holds a patent for an innovative 3D ultrasound technique and is the cofounder of the medical device start-up 3Sonic. He currently serves as President of the Danish Society of Diagnostic Ultrasound (DSDU) and is the Director of the Copenhagen International Head & Neck Ultrasound Course, which has trained over 200 physicians from more than 30 countries.

Dr. Todsen is also the course director for “Data in Medicine” (5 ECTS) at the University of Copenhagen and has extensive experience in developing technology-enhanced educational resources. His digital learning platforms and instructional videos have amassed over 300,000 views and include a clinical guide developed in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO). He is deeply passionate about technological innovation and serves as Coordinating Associate Professor at the Technical University Hospital of Greater Copenhagen (TUH).

Ayşenur Meriç Hafız was born in Ankara in 1975. She graduated from Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1998. She completed her specialist training in the Department of Ear, Nose and Throat at Bezmialem University Faculty of Medicine in 2003. She became Assistant Professor in 2010, Associate Professor in 2011, and Professor at the same university in 2017. She worked as a Research Assistant in the Head and Neck Cancer Clinic at the Cleveland Clinic Head and Neck Institute in the United States between 2006-2007. Prof. Dr. Ayşenur Meriç Hafız has been working at Koç University Hospital between 2017-2022.

Prof. Dr. Benedikt Hofauer is the head of the University Hospital for Otorhinolaryngology at the Medical University of Innsbruck in Austria. Before starting this position in 2023 he worked as a consultant at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at the Technical University of Munich and the University Hospital of Freiburg. He has a strong scientific focus on salivary gland disorders, ultrasound, head and neck oncology and sleep medicine and a strong clinical focus on head and neck surgery and reconstruction.
