Prof. WU has long been committed to the basic and clinical research of otology and auditory medicine, especially in sensorineural hearing loss, auditory implantation and acoustic neuroma surgery. He led the Chinese newborn hearing screening and intervention programe for more than 20 years and developed systematicly the management strategy of congenital hearing loss. He was elected as the President of Chinese Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Society in 2019.
Professor Dr Ing Ping, TANG completed his clinical and research fellowship in otology,
neurotology, lateral skull base surgery, rhinology and advanced endoscopic skull base
surgery.
He is the Past President of Malaysian Society of Otorhinolaryngologists Head and
Neck Surgeons (MSO-HNS) 2019/2020, President of Sarawak ENT Society and
President of Sarawak HEAR for the past 6 years.
He has been actively participating in various fields of research in ORL-HNS. He has
published numerous articles in local and international journals, written a few books,
monograph and chapters of the book on skull base surgery. He has performed more
than few hundreds of ear implants over the past 10 years too.
Currently, he is working as a Professor in Universiti Malaysia Sarawak and practising
as a senior consultant in Sarawak General Hospital & visiting Consultant in Borneo
Medical Centre, Kuching, Sarawak.
