Dr. Joseph K Han is a Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology & Head and Neck Surgery at Old Dominion University (Eastern Virginia Medical School).

He is currently the Vice Chair of Clinical Affairs and Administration. He was the Chief for the Division of Rhinology & Endoscopic Sinus and Skull Base Surgery. He is the Chief for the Division of Allergy. Previously Dr. Han was the Director for the Division of Rhinology and Endoscopic Sinus Surgery at University of Virginia School of Medicine.

Dr. Joseph Han was the President for the American Rhinologic Society, the Virginia Society of Otolaryngology, Tidewater Otolaryngology & Ophthalmology Society, Korean American Otolaryngology Society, Chair of the Rhinology and Paranasal Sinus Committee of the American Academy of Otolaryngology & Head and Neck Surgery, and Chair for the Rhinitis, Rhinosinusitis, and Ocular Allergy Committee for the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.

Dr. Han is on the Editorial Board for the International Forum of Allergy and Rhinology. Dr. Han was an examiner for the American Board of Otolaryngology & Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Han is the Editor for two books including the book, Practical Medical and Surgical Management of Chronic Rhinosinusitis. He is the Rhinology Section Editor for the Ballenger’s Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. He is the Associate Editor for Allergy and was an Associate Editor for the International Forum of Allergy and Rhinology and American Journal of Allergy and Rhinology. He has over 185 scientific publications, over 307 national and international scientific presentations, and over 214 guest lectureships. He has published in the top 3 medical journal (NEJM, JAMA, and Lancet) as either the first or senior author for these publications.

He is a fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology & Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS), American Rhinologic Society (ARS), Triological Society, and American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology (AAAAI). Dr Han was a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) and American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy (AAOA). He was involved in the national Guideline Task Force. Dr. Han has received numerous awards including Best Doctors of America, Castle Connelly Top Doctors, and Top Doctors by US News & Report.

Dr. Han is very active in both basic science research and clinical research studies and has been awarded over seventy funded clinical studies and research grants. His thesis was on Subclassification of Chronic Rhinosinusitis, which is the endotyping and phenotyping CRS. He has been awarded NIH funding for the bench research study of chronic sinusitis. Recently he has spearheading the use of monoclonal antibodies and nanobodies for the treatment of chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps. He has been the international and national lead investigator for several multi-national, multi-institutional, prospective randomized clinical trials for chronic rhinosinusitis.

Dr. Kangga Chandra Adi Surya is an ENT specialist based in Medan, Indonesia, with a focused interest in rhinology, particularly endoscopic sinus surgery. He completed his residency training at Universitas Sriwijaya and currently practices in Medan, Indonesia.

He subsequently pursued advanced training in rhinology through international observerships and surgical training in Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia. His clinical practice focuses on endoscopic sinus surgery and minimally invasive approaches to nasal and sinonasal disorders, with additional interests in turbinate surgery and posterior nasal neurectomy.

He is actively involved in rhinology education and surgical training as faculty and facilitator at regional and international scientific meetings and workshops. His surgical philosophy emphasizes effective disease clearance, preservation of nasal function, and the refinement of minimally invasive endoscopic techniques..

Prof. Dr. Gediz Murat Serin graduated from Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 2000 and completed his residency in Otorhinolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Marmara University in 2006. He worked within Acıbadem Healthcare Group between 2009 and 2020, contributing to the development of the Acıbadem University ENT training program. He became Associate Professor in 2013 and Professor in 2018.

His main areas of expertise include endoscopic sinus surgery, skull base surgery, and functional and aesthetic rhinoplasty. Since 2020, he has been practicing at his private clinic in Istanbul, focusing on advanced nasal and endoscopic sinus surgery.
