Ana Đanić Hadžibegović is ENT specialist, subspecialised in phoniatrics and somnology, at Clinical Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, University Hospital Centre Zagreb.
As associate professor, she teaches at University of Osijek at Faculty of Dental Medicine and Healthcare, and at University of Zagreb at Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation Sciences, at School of Medicine and Academy of music.
She is general secretary of European Academy of Phoniatrics and member of the UEP Educational and Swallowing committee. She is also Croatian national coordinator of Union of the European Phoniatricians. She is vice president of the Croatian phoniatric society and member of Croatian ENT Society, Croatian audiology and Phoniatrics society, Croatian Society for Head and Neck Tumours and Croatian Sleep Science Society.
She is particularly interested in diagnosis and treatment of swallowing and voice impairments and obstructive sleep apnoea. Research topics prevention, diagnostics and treatment of swallowing and voice disorders; drug induced sleep endoscopy and OSA surgery.
In 2024 she won 2<sup>nd</sup> place for UEP Young Phoniatrician Award. In 2016 she won first prize of Jorge Perello Fundation for her reaserach on influence of extra-esophageal reflux on the occurrence of voice prosthesis complications and voice Quality at 28th European Congress of Phoniatrics in Bilbao, Spain.
She has organised many international interdisciplinary courses on oropharyngeal dysphagia, office based laryngeal procedures, OSA - diagnosis and treatment. In 2019 and 2024 she was the course director of 5<sup>th</sup> and 8<sup>th</sup> EAP course on voice and swallowing and 2<sup>nd</sup> BLA/UEP joint meeting in Zagreb.
She is author or co-author in more than 40 published research papers in international peer reviewed journals, in more than 27 book chapters and she gave more than 70 presentations.
Mr Chadwan Al Yaghchi is a consultant laryngologist at the National Centre for Airway Reconstruction, Imperial College Healthcare, London. He manages the full spectrum of laryngeal disorders with specialist interest in airway stenosis and complex dysphagia. Mr Al Yaghchi holds a PhD in Molecular Oncology from Queen Mary’s University of London studying oncolytic viruses in head and neck cancers. In addition, he has an active clinical research program in voice, airway and swallowing disorders.
Mr Al Yaghchi is a founding member of the British Laryngological Association and the president-elect. He is the deputy general secretary of the Eropean Laryngological Society and Board member of the International Association of Transvoice Surgeon. He is a board member of the UK Swallowing Research Group and former Vice president of the Royal Society of Medicine, Section of Laryngology and Rhinology.
