I am a German otolaryngologist with comprehensive training in Head and Neck Surgery. I began my medical education at Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary, where I completed the first two years of the six-year medical curriculum and passed the first state examination. I continued my studies at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Germany, where I completed medical school, passed the second and third state examinations, and obtained my medical license.
During my medical studies, I conducted experimental research at the Institute for Neurosurgical Pathophysiology at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. My doctoral thesis (Dr. med.) focused on neurotrauma research and investigated the dose-dependent effects of ethyl pyruvate on histological damage and neurological deficits following controlled cortical impact in a rat model.
After graduation, I completed my residency training in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at Helios Dr. Horst-Schmidt-Kliniken in Wiesbaden, Germany, a tertiary referral center with a certified Head and Neck Tumor Center. During my specialist training, I developed a subspecialty focus in rhinology and skull base surgery, with a focus on complex sinonasal and anterior skull base pathology. I completed my specialist training in 2021.
Since completing my residency, I have continued my clinical career at the same institution, initially as a Senior Consultant and currently as a Managing Consultant in the Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. I am involved in the leadership of the certified Head and Neck Tumor Center and the Skull Base Center.
