Dr. Cinzia Calabrese is an ENT specialist with a focused clinical and surgical interest in pediatric laryngology and airway disorders. She currently serves as an ENT Consultant at AORN Santobono-Pausilipon in Naples, where she is involved in the multidisciplinary management of children with complex otolaryngological and laryngotracheal conditions.
She previously trained and worked at leading Italian ed European institutions, including Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital in Rome, the University Hospital of Verona, and APSS Trentino. Her clinical experience includes more than 350 diagnostic and therapeutic pediatric airway endoscopic procedures.
Dr. Calabrese graduated in Medicine and Surgery with honors from the University of Naples Federico II and completed her residency in Otolaryngology at the University of Verona with the highest distinction. She also obtained a postgraduate Master’s degree in neonatal and pediatric airway and digestive endoscopy.
She is a member of the Scientific Committee for Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology of the Italian Society of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery (SIOeChCF) and of the GOS Research Board, the Society’s under-40 group and a member of Young Otolaryngologists of IFOS (YO-IFOS). She is an author and co-author of peer-reviewed publications and regularly contributes as a speaker at national and international scientific meetings.
Dr. Mehmet Ekrem Zorlu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine, Ankara, Türkiye. His research and clinical interests focus primarily on pediatric airway disorders and laryngology.
Graduated Medical school from the American University of Beirut Medical Center. Pursued Residency in otolaryngology Head and Neck surgery at the same Center.
Pursued Pediatric Otolaryngology fellowship at children’s Mercy Kansas USA.
Was the first pediatic otolaryngologist in the north of Lebanon and opened the department at multiple hospitals
Joined Al Jalila Children’s Specialty Hospital in 2021. Helped start the pediatric ENT fellowship program. I serve as a core faculty in the program.
I mentor our current fellow.
Interested in research and have multiple publications and presentations.
I am a clinical lecturer at Mohamad Bin Rashed University Hospital.
I lead the tracheostomy team and task force at Al Jalila Children’s Hospital
