Modified Scalp Preserving Coronal Forehead Lift
09-11, 09:00–09:30 (Europe/Istanbul), Facial Plastic 1

This instructional course presents the concept and biomechanical basis of a modified scalp-preserving coronal forehead lift. The main focus is on preserving the hair-bearing scalp and its hair follicles while achieving effective forehead and brow elevation.

In conventional coronal forehead lifting, excision of the hair-bearing scalp may result in the loss of healthy scalp tissue and hair follicles. The modified approach is based on preserving the scalp rather than excising it and on applying biomechanical principles to achieve forehead and brow elevation.

The presentation will explain the rationale behind this technique, the biomechanical principles involved, and the importance of hair follicle preservation. Clinical cases and overall patient satisfaction will be presented to illustrate the clinical application of the technique.

The course will also discuss the indications, limitations, and conceptual differences between this method and conventional coronal forehead-lifting techniques. The emphasis will be on understanding the underlying philosophy of the procedure rather than providing a step-by-step operative demonstration.

By the end of the session, participants should understand the biomechanical rationale of the modified technique, the role of scalp and hair follicle preservation, and the potential advantages and limitations of this approach in appropriately selected patients.

The purpose of this instructional course is to explain the biomechanical rationale of a modified scalp-preserving coronal forehead lift. The presentation focuses on preservation of the hair-bearing scalp and hair follicles, redistribution of lifting forces, and the conceptual differences between this method and conventional coronal forehead-lifting techniques. Clinical examples and overall patient satisfaction will be presented to illustrate its clinical application.
