Revision rhinoplasty is a complex and evolving field that often involves managing difficult complications arising from previous surgeries. These complications may include structural instability, asymmetry, skin envelope issues, graft-related problems, and scarring.

this instructional course will provide a systematic approach to identifying, preventing, and managing complications in revision rhinoplasty. Through case-based discussions, surgical strategies, and evidence-based principles, attendees will gain insight into the nuances of handling complex revision scenarios.

by the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • recognize common complications in revision rhinoplasty

  • understand how to tailor surgical plans based on the underlying cause

  • explore grafting techniques and materials for correction

  • implement preventive strategies to minimize complications in future cases


The purpose of this course is to enhance surgeons’ ability to manage complications in revision rhinoplasty by sharing advanced techniques, practical tips, and lessons from real-life challenging cases.

Dr. Ahmet Alp is an ENT surgeon with a special focus on functional and aesthetic rhinoplasty. He has performed hundreds of primary and revision rhinoplasty procedures and frequently shares his experience in international meetings and instructional courses. His main areas of interest include managing complications in revision rhinoplasty, advanced grafting techniques, and thick-skin rhinoplasty.

Prof. Dr. Gökçe Özel

Dr. Gökçe Özel is an Ear, Nose, and Throat Surgeon specializing in facial plastic surgery, oculoplastics, and rhinology. She graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 2004. In 2011, she completed her five-year specialty training in the Ear, Nose, and Throat, Head and Neck Surgery Department at Dışkapı Yıldırım Beyazıt Training and Research Hospital. After fulfilling her mandatory service in Malatya, she joined the Kırıkkale University Ear, Nose, and Throat Department, where she specialized further in facial aesthetic surgery.

In 2015, she earned the title of Associate Professor in Ear, Nose, and Throat Surgery. Dr. Özel has 20 years of active clinical experience and has published over 100 scientific research papers in international and national journals, achieving an H-index of 14. She is a double board-certified facial surgeon, having successfully passed the EAFPS board exam in 2023.

Since 2021, Dr. Özel has been in private practice, operating her own Facial Rejuvenation and Wellness Clinic.

Prof. Dr. Gökçe Özel currently serves as the General Secretary of the Turkish Association of Facial Plastic Surgery and is the President of both the Full Face Rejuvenation Congress and the Face Minima Congress. She is also a member of the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery and an international expert board member of the Complications in Medical Aesthetic Collaborative (CMAC). As an academic opinion leader in the field of aesthetics in Turkey, she continues to treat patients at her clinic.
