Office Based Rhinologic Procedures— From Diagnosis to Intervention
Dr. Pablo Stolovitzky is an internationally recognized otolaryngologist and CEO/co-founder of ENT of Georgia North. He completed his residency at Emory University, where he now serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology. His leadership within the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS) has been exceptional, including serving on its Board of Directors and as International Coordinator. In this role, he has advanced global education by organizing Joint Meetings and taking the initiative to spearhead the innovative Global Grand Rounds program. Additionally, he is the Secretary General of the Pan-American Association of Otolaryngology-HNS and has held presidencies in both the Georgia Society and Metro Atlanta Society of Otolaryngology-HNS.
Dr. Stolovitzky has earned numerous accolades, including the induction into the American Academy of Otolaryngology–HNS 2022 Hall of Distinction as a "Living Legend” and the Excellence in Teaching Award, and the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Georgia Society of Otolaryngology. He has also been honored with the AAO-HNS Distinguished Honor Award, the Board of Governors Chair Award, and recognition as one of the "Best Doctors in America" and "Top Docs" in Atlanta.
Known globally for his expertise, he frequently lectures nationally and internationally on nasal and sinus conditions. His recent research focuses on radiofrequency ablation of the posterior nasal nerve for the treatment of chronic rhinitis, absorbable implants for the treatment of nasal valve collapse, and steroid-eluting stents for nasal polyps. Dr. Stolovitzky’ s contributions have significantly advanced both clinical care and otolaryngology global education.
Edward McCoul, MD, MPH, is Professor and Vice Chair of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at Ochsner Health in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he also serves as Research Medical Director for Surgical Specialties. He is a graduate of Tulane University School of Medicine where he also earned master’s degrees in epidemiology and pharmacology. He completed fellowship training in rhinology and endoscopic skull base surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College—New York Presbyterian Hospital. He serves as associate editor or on the editorial board of several major journals. He is a fellow of the American Rhinologic Society, the American College of Surgeons and the Triological Society. His professional interests include diagnostic endoscopy, pharmacotherapy, patient-centered outcomes, decision making theory, and applications of artificial intelligence.
Murray Ramanathan is a Professor of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and Neurosurgery and serves as the Vice Chair for Clinical Operations where he oversees clinical and surgical delivery of otolaryngologic care for Johns Hopkins Medicine which spans 5 hospitals and 9 ambulatory sites in both Baltimore and the Washington DC metro regions. Murray attended Yale for his undergraduate degree, The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston for medical school and completed his Otolaryngology Residency and Rhinology/Endoscopic Skull Base Fellowship at Johns Hopkins. He has a busy clinical practice that focuses on endoscopic approaches for chronic sinusitis, nasal tumors and a special emphasis on collaborative endoscopic skull base surgery. As co-fellowship director of the Johns Hopkins rhinology fellowship, Murray has helped train more than 15 rhinology fellows. Murray also runs an NIH R01 funded lab in Baltimore that studies the role of air pollution in chronic rhinosinusitis from both a basic science and epidemiological perspective. On a national level, Murray serves as the chair of the mentorship committee for the American Rhinologic Society and is the chair of the General Section of the CORE grants program for the AAO-HNS.
Sarah K. Wise, MD, MSCR is Professor of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She is the Vice Chair of Education, and Director of Otolaryngic Allergy for her academic department. She has also served as the Residency Program Director and Rhinology Fellowship Director at Emory. Dr. Wise completed residency at Emory University and rhinology fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Wise has served on the Board of Directors of the American Rhinologic Society and the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. She is a Past President of the American Rhinologic Society and was the Society’s first female president. Dr. Wise is also a member of the Exam Council for the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Her clinical interests include inflammatory rhinology, otolaryngic allergy, relationship of allergy and chronic rhinosinusitis, and cerebrospinal fluid leaks. Her most notable publication is the International Consensus Statement on Allergy and Rhinology: Allergic Rhinitis, where she served as first author/primary editor on the original 2018 document and the recent 2023 update.Sarah K. Dr. Kacker graduated from All India Institute of Medical Sciences. He trained in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital/The NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Residency Program. He is involved in clinical and basic science research in the field of Rhinology, involving nose and sinus. His clinical practice emphasizes the treatment of diseases of the nose and sinuses including image guided surgery and medical management of difficult cases. He is Chief of Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine. He also maintains a practice in General and Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology treating patients with any disorders of the ear, nose, sinuses, or throat.
