Endoscopes and Microscopes in Otology & Neurotology: From conflict to harmony.

The conflict among otologists about the role of using endoscopes in the field is endless. The presentation will reveal the role of endoscopy in variable otological and neurotological procedures to gain the maximum benefits of using both tools for lowering morbidities and improving the results of the operations. Many videos of different procedures will be played to highlight the dual endo-microscopic approach for different pathologies in otology and neurotology fields.


The presentaion is aiming to put a spotlight on the concept of using both endoscope and microscope in harmony in otology and neurotology to make it the rational of surgical traing for the upcoming generations.

Mr.Abdelrahman Ezzat Ibrahim is an ENT Consultant Surgeon at United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust With a subspecialty interest in otology and facial plastics surgery. An active educator, he serves as an examiner for the European ORL-HNS Board Exam. His clinical and academic work focuses on advancing minimally invasive ear surgery techniques to improve patient outcomes and in the field of facial plastics surgery
