This course will address the integration of vestibular assessment into the longitudinal follow-up of children with congenital CMV infection, emphasizing its clinical and developmental relevance and providing practical guidance for pediatric vestibular evaluation.

MD, PhD Neuroscience, ENT practitioner (1991 to 2022), and consultant in the ENT department of R Debré Pediatric Universitary Hospital (Paris). Founder at R Debré Hospital (1991) of a pilot unit for functional exploration of balance disorders in children (EFEE), specialized in vestibular assessment in young children (vertigo, delay in postural and motor development, deafness and pre- and post-cochlear implant).

Since 2022, Research at the Pasteur Institute (CERIAH) and Hearing Institute (IDA) on presbycusis and presby-vestibulopathy.Responsible with Pr H.Thaivan for an inter-university diploma (Lyon-Paris) since 2015.

President of the IPBN (International pediatric balance disorders Network), member of the Bàràny Society.

I am a pediatric otolaryngologist with specialized expertise in pediatric audiology and vestibular assessment, and extensive clinical experience in the evaluation and management of pediatric vestibular disorders. I have a strong clinical and scientific interest in vestibular function and balance development in children. I am currently completing a PhD focused on multisensory integration in patients with vestibular dysfunction, using virtual reality as an experimental and clinical investigation tool. My work aims to bridge clinical practice and research in order to improve the understanding, assessment, and rehabilitation of vestibular disorders in the pediatric population.

I am a pediatric ENT surgeon and clinician-scientist leading the vestibular exploration unit at Robert-Debré Hospital, where our clinical and research activities focus on hearing–vestibular interactions, CMV-related inner ear involvement, functional impact assessment of vestibular disorders, early screening, and therapeutic approaches tailored to children.

I also conduct fundamental research on deafness, vestibular dysfunction and gene therapy in preclinical models, in collaboration with Aziz El-Amraoui’s team at the Hearing Institute (Institut Pasteur).

My previous academic background includes recognized expertise in auditory neuroscience, tinnitus, fMRI and neuromodulation, developed during my PhD and post-doctoral training in auditory neuroimaging and tinnitus (University of Liège, Georgetown University).
