<p>Gonca Elcin, M.D., is a distinguished dermatologist and academic leader with over 20 years of clinical and organizational experience. A pioneer in her field, Dr. Elcinserved as a Professor of Dermatology and the Head of Department at Hacettepe University in Ankara, Türkiye, one of the nation's premier medical institutions. Her career is defined by clinical innovation, most notably establishing Türkiye's first Mohs Micrographic Surgery program and directing a national reference center for dermatologic oncology which was officially recognized by the European Society of Mohs Surgery (ESMS) as a designated provider.</p> <p>A dedicated advocate for medical education, Dr. Elcin served as Vice President of the Turkish Society of Dermatology, where she co-authored the national residency curriculum and integrated Mohs surgery into the country's formal training framework. Her academic portfolio includes over 100 peer-reviewed publications and the mentorship of more than 30 residents.</p> <p>Currently based in Massachusetts, Dr. Elcin serves as an advisor to the American College of Mohs Surgery (ACMS) Global Mohs Surgery Exchange Committee, where she focuses on bridging international standards in Mohs surgery.</p>
