Dr. Mariam Shadi is an Assistant Professor of Phoniatrics, ENT Department, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. She has a special interest in the diagnosis and managment of voice and swallowing disorders in adults and pediatrics with over 20 years of experience. She is also an active member of the UEP (Union of European Phoniatricians) Swallowing Committee.

Born in 1980 in Istanbul, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ceki Paltura graduated from Istanbul Nişantaşı Anatolian High School in 1998. Between 1998-2004, he received his medical education at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine in English. Between 2005-2010, he completed he specialty training at Istanbul Taksim Training and Research Hospital in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery. He prepared his specialty thesis on “Subjective and Objective Evaluation of the Change in Voice Quality of Patients with Allergic Rhinitis Following Treatment with Nasal Steroid and Antihistamine Combination.” After his specialization, he fulfilled his military service in Erzurum Mareşal Çakmak Military Hospital and his compulsory service in Kastamonu Taşköprü Hospital. He worked at Haseki Training and Research Hospital in Istanbul between 2013-15 and at Gaziosmanpaşa Taksim Training and Research Hospital between 2015-2021. In 2020, he received the title of Associate Professor at Gaziosmanpaşa Taksim Training and Research Hospital. He fulfilled the duties of Education Officer and Administrative Responsibility in the same hospital. Currently he is workin at Uskudar University ENT Deprartment and his clinic.

Ana Penezic, MD, PhD is a Croatian otorhinolaryngologist and phoniatrician. She works at the University Hospital Center Sestre milosrdnice in Zagreb and serves as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the Croatian Catholic University, where she teaches otorhinolaryngology and head and neck surgery.

Dr. Penezić completed her medical degree and doctoral studies at the University of Zagreb School of Medicine. She is a Fellow of the European Board of Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (FEBORL-HNS) and an examiner for the European ORL board examination. Her clinical and research interests include rhinology, laryngology, and voice disorders.

She has authored and co-authored more than 20 scientific publications and actively participated in more than 30 congess meetings. She is actively involved in international research projects, professional societies, and scientific meetings in the field of otorhinolaryngology.

I graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 2003. I received the title of otolaryngology specialist in 2008. I was qualified to become an associate professor in 2021. I am currently working as an otolaryngologist in a private hospital. I have been working on voice disorders and laryngology for many years.

Dr. Orietta CALCINONI

Born in Milan, where she lives and works, ENT and Phoniatrician. Since 1987 works with Teatro alla Scala, from 2009 in charge as ENT/Phoniatrician in Theatre’s Health Service and Health surveillance of Choir Artists and Orchestra Professors. Part of the team producing the National Guidelines about Noise Protection in Entertainment Sector in 2012. With Maestro Edoardo Cazzaniga developed the project “Science and Art in Voice “ whose results were published ISBN 978-884676116-3. With Teatro alla Scala Health responsible, MD Terenzio Cassina and  Milan University Audiology Colleagues set up and carried on a project about hearing assessment and preservation in professional lyric orchestra and choir artists (results in evaluation). With Milan Politecnico experts Prof. Francesco Romano, Prof. Raffaele Dellacà, set up and carried on a project on singers’ and wind players respiratory patterns (results in evaluation). Expert member and Treasurer in Italian Committee for the Safeguard of Practice of Italian Opera Singing. AIOLP (Italian Association of Private ENTs) President 2022-2024. Member of UEP Voice Committee.
