Dr. Selçuk Mülazımoğlu, MD, PhD, FEBORL-HNS, is an Associate Professor of Otorhinolaryngology at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine. He received his medical degree from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine and subsequently completed his ENT residency at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology of the same institution. He completed a PhD in Clinical Anatomy at Ankara University, focusing on the surgical anatomy of the facial nerve.

He received fellowship training in otology and lateral skull base surgery at Luzerner Kantonsspital, Switzerland, under Prof. Thomas Linder, and further refined his skills in endoscopic ear and skull base surgery through observerships with Prof. Paolo Castelnuovo and Prof. Daniele Marchioni in Italy.

His clinical and academic interests include endoscopic ear surgery, temporal bone anatomy, cochlear implantation, and lateral skull base approaches.

Dr. Gökçe Tanyeri Toker is a distinguished ENT specialist and Associate Professor at İzmir Kâtip Çelebi University, with expertise in otology, neurotology, and minimally invasive ear surgery. A 2013 Politzer Prize winner for her experimental research on neuroprotective agents in facial nerve regeneration, she has authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications, including studies on vestibular evoked potentials, hearing preservation, and endoscopic techniques. Trained at Ege and Celal Bayar Universities, she completed observerships at Ohio State University and holds certifications in temporal bone dissection, rhinoplasty, and head neck surgery. Dr. Tanyeri Toker actively contributes to international textbooks (e.g., Springer’s Otology Updates), leads national projects, and serves on boards for the Turkish Otology-Neurotology Association. Her clinical innovations, such as underwater endoscopic ear surgery, align with global ENT advancements.

Andrea Achena, MD, is an Italian otolaryngologist with expertise in otology, rhinology, anterior and lateral skull-base surgery. After graduating summa cum laude from the University of Cagliari, he completed his ENT residency at the Universities of Milan (2019–2022), earning a final grade of 70/70 cum laude, with an experimental thesis on sinonasal intestinal-type adenocarcinoma. During residency he went on to a dedicated otology fellowship at Instituto de Otología García-Ibáñez, Bercelona.

Since 2022 he has served as Consultant ENT at ASST Grande Ospedale Metropolitano Niguarda in Milan. In this period has logged more than 2500 ENT operations, over half as primary surgeon, managing complex otologic, rhinologic, anterior and lateral skull-base cases with advanced endoscopic and micro-surgical approaches. He has further honed his surgical expertise through advanced dissection courses in otology (Piacenza, Barcelona), rhinology and anterior skull base surgery (University of Milan; Hospital Niguarda), and temporal bone dissection (Padua) and in 2025 earned an advanced master’s in Otoneurology from the University of Padua.

Dr Achena is an active member of SIOeChCF, the leading Italian society of Otolaryngology, and of its young-professionals section, GOS, where he serves on the executive board. As contributor to the research field, he has authored twelve peer-reviewed papers regarding different ENT topics. His work blends minimally invasive surgery with translational research to improve outcomes for patients with complex ear and sinus disease.
