<p>In 1996, I entered the Faculty of Medicine of the University of the Republic (UdelaR) in Montevideo, Uruguay, obtaining my PhD in Medicine in 2004. In 2004, I completed my first internship at the Insular University Hospital in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain, where I specifically trained in the specialty of Otorhinolaryngology. I returned to the country to begin my ENT residency at the ENT Department of the Hospital de Clínicas in Montevideo, Uruguay, obtaining my specialist degree in 2008. I completed internships and fellowships in various countries such as Spain, the USA, Argentina, and Brazil. Since 1997, I have coordinated the Early Hearing Loss Detection Program at Médica Uruguaya. Since 2012, I have represented Uruguay at the Pan-American Association of ENT and Head and Neck Surgery as the Uruguayan delegate. President of the IV Course of said Association in 2017 in Punta del Este, Uruguay. He currently continues as a delegate of the Pan-American Association of ENT and CCC, with the position of Vice - President for the period 2022 - 2024. In Uruguay, my teaching career consisted of a position as Assistant of the ENT Chair at the Hospital de Clínicas, until 2017. Active member of: ENT Society of Uruguay, American Academy of ENT and CCC, Spanish Society of ENT and CCC, Pan-American Association of ENT and CCC. Master's degree in Advanced Rhinology and Anterior Skull Base Surgery from the International University of Andalusia (2022 - 2023). Coordinator of the Continuing Medical Education Commission of the ENT Society of Uruguay (SORLU). Secretary of the SORLU period 2024 - 2025. Member of the Otology Committee of the Pan-American Association of ENT and CCC.</p>

<p>One of the founder members of the Sialendoscopy Group of India. Has performed more than 1000 sialendoscopic procedures. Was the principal investigator of a prospective multicentric study on Skull Base Osteomyelitis- the AOI Kerala SBO study, one of the largest studies till date.</p>
