This lecture aims to analyze the evolution of osteotomy techniques in rhinoplasty, comparing classical and modern approaches —including the use of piezoelectric technology— in order to evaluate their functional and aesthetic implications in surgical outcomes.

The presentation will provide participants with an updated and critical perspective on:

  • The precise indication and execution of nasal osteotomies.

  • The impact of each technique on dorsal stability and nasal airflow.

  • The reduction of complications such as bony instability, bruising, or asymmetries.

  • Comparative evidence between traditional techniques and ultrasound-assisted osteotomies.
