Facial synkinesis is the most common chronic facial movement disorder that develops following facial nerve injury. Periocular synkinesis is one of the most common and bothersome types of facial synkinesis. Treatment of periocular synkinesis can be challenging with frequent persistence or recurrence of symptoms after treatment. This surgical video demonstrates a technique for treating periocular synkinesis: orbicularis oculi selective myectomy with autologous microfat grafting.
