Cuneyt M. Alper
Dr. Cuneyt M. Alper is a Professor of Otolaryngology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He is a full-time physician at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh (CHP). Dr. Alper attended medical school and completed otolaryngology residency in Turkey. He moved to Pittsburgh, USA in 1992, completed pediatric otolaryngology fellowship at CHP and became faculty in 1996. He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles and 25 book chapters. He served as an Editor in “Bluestone and Stool’s Pediatric Otolaryngology, 4th Ed” and as 1st Editor of the books “Advanced Therapy in Otitis Media”, “Decision Making in Ear Nose Throat Disorders, 1st Ed” and “Decision Making in Otolaryngology, 2nd Ed.”, He served as the Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship Program Director at CHP for 10 years. He conducted research for more than 3 decades on otitis media, viral infections and Eustachian tube. Dr. Alper’s clinical and surgical interests include management of chronic otitis media, hearing loss, cholesteatoma and Eustachian tube dysfunction.
