Higino Steck
Dr Higino Steck, is a Professor of Head and Neck Surgery at the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil, and Coordinator of the Thyroid Nodule and Salivary Gland Clinic at the Institute of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery (IOU-UNICAMP).
With more than 30 years of clinical experience, Dr. Steck is one of the pioneers of sialendoscopy in Brazil and Latin America, with over 15 years of experience in the diagnosis and minimally invasive management of salivary gland disorders. He has played an important role in introducing and disseminating advanced salivary gland endoscopy techniques through clinical practice, research, and hands-on training courses.
He is also internationally recognized for his work in interventional thyroidology, including ultrasound-guided thermal ablation and fluorescence-guided parathyroid preservation. Dr. Steck is a frequent invited speaker and faculty member at major international scientific meetings and educational courses in head and neck surgery, salivary gland surgery, and interventional ultrasound.
