Prof Chaidas graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University in Greece in 2005. After the completion of his higher surgical training, he undertook a two-year fellowship training in robotic ENT (thyroid/parathyroid and sleep apnoea) surgery at St Mary’s Hospital in London. He had been a Consultant ENT surgeon at John Radcliffe Hospital-Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Oxford, UK (2015-2022) and an Assistant Professor in ENT at Democritus University of Thrace-School of Medicine in Alexandroupolis, Greece (2022-2025). He has recently been appointed as an Assistant Professor in ENT at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. He has also been an Honorary ENT Consultant at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust in London, UK. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Prof Chaidas has an active interest in research and teaching. He was awarded a PhD in sleep apnea in 2010. He has published widely with over 60 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, mainly in the field of sleep apnoea, thyroid and robotic surgery.
