Dr. Selin Ünsaler is an Associate Professor in the field of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. She completed her undergraduate studies at the Istanbul University Cerrahpasa Medical Faculty and Universita degli Studi di Milano (2006-2007), followed by a specialty in ENT at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (2009-2014). She further got trained in advanced endoscopic sinus and skull base surgery in Italy in 2012.
In 2015, she earned the title of European Board of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery Fellow in Vienna. She was a visiting scholar at the University of Pittsburgh (2018) to train in robotic surgery techniques endoscopic skull base surgery. In 2022, she completed sialendoscopy training at Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève, Switzerland.
She is currently working in Koç University Hospital since 2019 and holds an associate professor position in Koç University School of Medicine Otolaryngology and Head Neck Surgery Department.She holds memberships in several prominent societies, including the International Sialendoscopy Society, the Turkish Society of Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery, and the European Association of Science Editors . Her clinical interests include Head and Neck Cancer Surgery, Salivary Gland Diseases and Sialendoscopy, and Endoscopic Sinus Surgery.

I am interested in Head and Neck Surgery, Sialendoscopy and Thyroid and Salivary Gland Disease.
I am Professor of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. I received my medical degree from Gulhane Military Medical Faculty in Ankara and completed my residency at Gulhane Military Medical Academy Haydarpasa Training Hospital in Istanbul. I joined the faculty in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Gulhane Military Medical Academy Haydarpasa Training Hospital, Istanbul, I received Professor degree at 2020. Currently, I am Professor of the Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery and Division of Head and Neck Oncologic Surgery at Acibadem Kadıkoy Hospital, Istanbul since 2026.
Between 2015-2016, I did my Clinical & Research fellowship on Head and Neck Cancer and Surgery at Medical University of South Carolina, Head & Neck Tumor Center at Charleston, USA for one year. I also worked as an Observer Physician on Head and Neck Cancer and Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Division, Pittsburgh, USA for two months in 2014. I also trained as an Observer Physician on Ear Surgery at House Ear Clinic, Visiting Physicians Program Los Angeles, California, USA in 2007.
Since completion of my fellowship, I frequently practice to patients with tumors of the head and neck region, including skull base, thyroid, and salivary gland and also salivary gland disorders and endoscopy (sialendoscopy). My goal for patient care include a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to each patient to provide the best cure, quality of life, and cosmesis.
For research point of view, I am in interested in moleculer cancer pathways and its translational research on Head and Neck cancers and I did my PhD on Moleculer Oncology, graduated in 2024 at Medical Health University in Istanbul.
I am member of Turkish Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Society, Turkish Head and Neck Cancer Society, European Head and Neck Cancer Society and member and board-member of Head and Neck Surgery Society of Turkey.
Dr. Irena Ivković is a board-certified specialist in Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at the University Hospital Centre Zagreb. Since June 2024, she has served as Head of the Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology Division at the Clinic for Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery, UHC Zagreb, following her tenure as Acting Head of the Division from 2019 to 2024.
She completed her residency in Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at UHC Zagreb (2011–2016) and has worked as a consultant specialist since 2016. She obtained her PhD from the University of Zagreb School of Medicine in 2022 with a doctoral thesis entitled “BRAF V600E mutation and CPSF2 expression as prognostic markers for papillary thyroid cancer”.
Her clinical and academic focus includes the diagnosis and surgical management of salivary gland diseases, thyroid disorders and pediatric otorhinolaryngology, with particular expertise in ultrasound, sialendoscopy and gland-preserving minimally invasive techniques. She has completed advanced postgraduate training in head and neck ultrasound and minimally invasive salivary gland surgery (Erlangen, Germany).
Dr. Ivković is an active member of several national and international professional societies, including the European Society of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology (ESPO). She organized numerous international symposia and hands-on surgical courses and actively promotes multidisciplinary collaboration in pediatric otorhinolaryngology and head and neck surgery.
