Prof. Dr. K Serkan Orhan

Dr. Orhan graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 1999. He completed his specialization in the ENT Department of the same institution. He was appointed as an Associate Professor in 2012 and became a full Professor in 2018. Throughout his career, he has gained international experience as a visiting doctor at several prestigious institutions, including St Radboud University (Netherlands), The Royal National Ear Nose and Throat Hospital (UK), University of Miami (USA), and House Ear Institute (USA).

Dr. Orhan has authored more than 100 articles published in both local and international journals. His h index is 14 of Web of Science, 21 of Google Scolar. He has described five surgical techniques and designed an endoscopic ear surgery set. His primary areas of interest include ear surgery and skull base surgery.

Currently, he works full-time in the ENT Department of Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine and serves as a consultant at Memorial Bahçelievler Hospital.

He is a member of CORLAS (Collegium Oto-Rhinolaryngologicum Amicitiae Sacrum) and IWGEES (International Working Group on Endoscopic Ear Surgery).

Walter Kutz, MD, FACS is a Professor of Otolaryngology and Neurological Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology at Baylor College of Medicine and went on to pursue a two-year fellowship in Otology and Neurotology at the prestigious House Ear Clinic in Los Angeles.

Dr. Kutz serves as the Program Director of the Neurotology Fellowship and Associate Program Director of the Otolaryngology Residency Program at UT Southwestern. He has a strong commitment to education and mentorship, recognized by the Chief Resident Appreciation Award for his leadership and teaching. He has been actively involved in curriculum development and surgical education for trainees at all levels.

Nationally, Dr. Kutz holds the position of Secretary Treasurer of the American Neurotology Society. He has also served on various committees for national organizations, reflecting his ongoing contributions to the field of otology and neurotology.

His clinical and research interests include acoustic neuroma outcomes, neurofibromatosis type 2, auditory brainstem implantation, cochlear implantation, endoscopic ear surgery, and cerebrospinal fluid fistulas of the temporal bone. He has authored over 90 peer-reviewed publications and multiple book chapters, and frequently lectures nationally and internationally on topics in otology and skull base surgery.
