Samantha Anne, MD,MS is a Professor with Cleveland Clinic Head and Neck Institute and serves as the Medical Director of Pediatric Ear and Hearing Disorders. Dr. Anne completed her Bachelor of Science degree, Master of Science degree, and her Doctor of Medicine degree at Wayne State University. Her post-graduate training includes a two-year otolaryngology residency at The State University of New York, followed by completion of residency at University Hospitals and Case Western Reserve University. She then did a pediatric otolaryngology fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Her research interests are in pediatric hearing loss and quality of life associated with cochlear implantation in children. She has authored more than a 100 papers, published a book on pediatric sensorineural hearing loss, and has presented internationally numerous times on pediatric hearing loss.
Professor of Otology in Amsterdam UMC the Netherlands. Wrote many papers on patient reported outcomes, hearing (e.a. CI, otosclerosis) and cholesteatoma . Developed the ear-specific OQUA PROM, and supervised the National Consensus meeting on Cholesteatoma. Steering committee member of IOOG (international otology outcome group). Wrote a book on CI and several chapters of books.
Dr. Manuela Fina is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Minnesota. She is the Otology Director and Resident Site Director at the Veteran Administration Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Dr. Fina completed her Medical Degree at the University of Milan School of Medicine, followed by an Otolaryngology residency training at Washington University in St. Louis, and an Otology/Neurotology fellowship with Prof. Michael Paparella in Minneapolis. Her clinical practice includes all aspects of otology with a clinical focus on surgery for cholesteatoma and chronic otitis media. Dr. Fina is an Executive Board Member of the International Working Group on Endoscopic Ear Surgery. Her clinical research interest is on outcomes of endoscopic ear surgery and outcomes in cholesteatoma surgery. Dr. Fina has authored numerous articles and book chapters on Surgery for Cholesteatoma and on Endoscopic Ear Surgery techniques. She has participated as a course director, instructor and speaker to may national and international Temporal Bone Dissection Courses, Otology Meetings and Webinars. Since 2017 she has been a lead presenter teaching instruction courses at the Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Otolaryngology.
