Dr. Özlem Ertuğrul was born in Ankara in 1970. She graduated from the Audiometry Program of Hacettepe University, School of Health Services, in 1990. In 2013, she completed her undergraduate degree in Public Administration at Anadolu University, Faculty of Economics. She received her M.Sc. degree in Audiology from Başkent University, Institute of Health Sciences, Department of Otorhinolaryngology in 2019, and completed her Ph.D. in Audiology at Başkent University, Institute of Health Sciences, Department of Otorhinolaryngology in 2023.

Between 2000 and 2025, Dr. Ertuğrul worked as a senior clinical audiologist and unit supervisor at SSK Göztepe Training Hospital, Göztepe Training and Research Hospital, and İstanbul Prof. Dr. Süleyman Yalçın City Hospital. She has delivered lectures in audiology at several universities.

Dr. Ertuğrul currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Audiology, Faculty of Health Sciences, Istanbul Medeniyet University. She continues her academic and clinical research activities and has published various national and international scientific papers.

Her primary academic interests include Central Auditory Processing Disorders (CAPD), cochlear implant programming, and vestibular rehabilitation.
