Dr José Carlos Casqueiro completed his residency program in Ear, Nose, and Throat at the University Hospital of Getafe in 2006. He joined the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at Severo Ochoa University Hospital in Leganés. Between 2008 and 2009, he took subspecialization courses in middle ear and skull base surgery with Professors Ugo Fisch and Mario Sanna.

Since 2009, he has been collaborating annually in various temporal bone and skull base dissection courses. In 2010, he began to incorporate minimally invasive endoscopic surgery for the middle ear into his practice, and he became one of the first members of the International Working Group on Endoscopic Ear Surgery (IWGEES). He frequently lectures and speaks at numerous national and international conferences and courses, and he also serves as a reviewer for several European scientific journals.

As Founder and Medical Director of SurgSchool, his mission is to advance medical education by providing global, affordable access to live surgical training conducted by leading international experts.
