Associate Professor Dr.Pongsakorn Tantilipikorn currently is an Chief of Center of Research Excellence in Allergy & Immunology of Faculty of Medicine. He also has previous executive duties as Assistant President in Research and Academic Affairs, Mahidol University, and Assistant Director of Thailand Science, Research and Innovation (TSRI).

           He has 78 articles published in the International Peer-review Journal, two books of ‘Allergic Diseases’; and ‘Endoscopy’.  He serves as an Editor of Current Opinion in Allergy & Clinical Immunology (Issue: Precision medicine in Rhinology & Allergy) ; and Frontiers in Allergy - Rhinology Section. He is also engaging as an Editorial Board in Asia Pacific Allergy, which is an official journal of Asia Pacific Association of Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology (APAAACI), and being as a Reviewer Role for International Peer-review Journals of: Allergy, Rhinology, American Journal Rhinology & Allergy, International Forum of Allergy & Rhinology, Laryngoscope, Clinical Translational Allergy & Immunology, Asian Pacific Journal of Allergy & Clinical Immunology and Frontiers in Allergy.

 

He has been elected to be a board member of the International Society of Infection and Allergy of the Nose (ISIAN) since 2016. His special interests are: allergen immunotherapy, nasal inflammation, minimally invasive rhinologic procedures, mucosal immunity of nose & paranasal sinuses and pathophysiology of rhinosinusitis.

Prof. Daiju Sakurai received his M.D. from Chiba University, Japan, in 1997, and earned his Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Medicine at the same institution in 2003. Following a residency in Otorhinolaryngology at Chiba University Hospital, he served as an Assistant Professor (2004) and later as a Lecturer (2011). From 2005 to 2007, he furthered his research as a Visiting Researcher at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden.

Since 2019, he has served as Professor at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, University of Yamanashi, and was appointed Director of the Allergy Center at University of Yamanashi Hospital in 2021. His research interests focus on allergy and head and neck tumors. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Japanese Society of Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the Japanese Society of Allergology, and the Japanese Rhinologic Society.
