<p>Doris- Eva Bamiou MD MSc PhD FRCP is Professor in Neuroaudiology ( UCL Ear Institute), Consultant in Audiovestibular Medicine (UCLH) and Sub Theme Lead of the NIHR UCLH BRC (Deafness and Hearing). She conducts translational research in Neuro-Audiology, i.e. the intersection of Audiology, Vestibular Medicine and Cognitive Neuroscience. She received the Pat Jobson Prize (British Association of Audiological Physicians, 2002), the Edith Whetnall prize ( Royal Society of Medicine, 2012), Thomas Simm Littler Prize (British Society of Audiology, 2017) and George Harris People’s Choice Award (BSA 2024). She directs the Auditory Processing Disorders (APD) advanced masterclass and Master’s module, and the MSc in Audiovestibular Medicine strand of Advanced Audiology at UCL.</p>

<p>Prof. Dr. Esra Yücel is a distinguished scientist specialized in the field of audiology, recognized for her academic and clinical contributions. She completed her undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral studies at Hacettepe University, focusing on auditory rehabilitation, pediatric audiology, and cochlear implant applications. Throughout her academic career, she has authored numerous national and international publications, actively participated in scientific projects, and supervised many graduate students.</p> <p>She currently serves as a faculty member and Head of the Department of Audiology at Hacettepe University, Faculty of Health Sciences. By integrating clinical practice with academic knowledge, she has made significant contributions to improving the quality of life of individuals with hearing loss. Conducting education, research, and community awareness activities simultaneously, Prof. Dr. Yücel is regarded as one of the leading academics in her field.</p>

<p>I completed my master’s and PhD degrees at Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa. I have been working at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine since 2011.</p>
