Effect of tumor budding and worst pattern of invasion on tongue cancer prognosis
09-12, 07:00–07:30 (Europe/Istanbul), Head & Neck Surgery 1

Worst pattern of invasion and tumor budding are important histological parameters for tongue cancer. Many publications recommend that these parameters should be included in histopathological reports. I would like to present both literature information and the results I obtained from my own study on this subject.

DOI tongue cancer is included in the TNM staging system. It is an important parameter in tumor stage and prognosis. Recent studies have shown that worst pattern of invasion and tumor budding also affect tumor prognosis and nodal metastasis. It is thought that in the future, these parameters will be important on tumor prognosis and also radiotherapy indications.
