Challenges and Solutions for Professional Musicians Using Hearing Aids
Challenges and Solutions for Professional Musicians Using Hearing Aids
I completed my undergraduate studies in 2018 and my master’s degree in 2021. Since 2018, I have been working in a clinical setting focusing on improving speech understanding in noise, auditory processing, and hidden hearing loss in individuals using hearing aids. Together with my thesis students, we are investigating the effects of different ear molds on acoustic properties. Since 2020, I have been teaching the Acoustic and Phonetic Principles course in the Audiology and Hearing Aid Technology (Audiometry) programs, and the Hearing Aids course in the Audiometry program. In addition, through the Community Service Practices elective course I offer university-wide, I conduct projects on waste management and support for disadvantaged groups.
