Ghizlene Lahlou, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery and a physician-scientist specializing in otology and neurotology. She practices at a tertiary referral center with a high volume of cochlear implantation, middle ear surgery, and lateral skull base surgery. Her clinical and research interests focus on adult hearing loss, cochlear implantation, and genetic hearing disorders. She is particularly involved in translational research aimed at preparing the field for future inner ear gene therapies, including advanced phenotyping of candidate populations and preservation of cochlear structures. Dr. Lahlou is actively involved in teaching, clinical research supervision, and international collaborations.
