This session details the evolution of structural grafting in rhinoplasty. It examines innovative materials and techniques, from diced cartilage with fascia to allografts and synthetic implants, focusing on their application for achieving predictable, long-lasting aesthetic and functional outcomes.
Outcome Objectives Participants will be able to:
Compare the properties and indications of various innovative graft materials.
Identify surgical techniques for the placement and stabilization of new grafts.
Evaluate the risks and benefits associated with different grafting options.
Background Achieving ideal nasal contour and support in rhinoplasty often requires grafting. Traditional methods can have limitations like resorption or donor site morbidity. Innovative grafts offer new solutions to overcome these challenges, improving structural integrity and aesthetic refinement.
